on magic and bravery

Chapter 1 of my newest story. This is the type of story I like to read. Right now I'm reading a series by Chuck Black, the Kingdom series. I like the adventure and danger.

Please tell me what you think about this chapter!

Chapter 1

One day a thirteen year old boy named Derick found a special sword. He did not know what it did. He decided to go find a man named Garen. Garen was known for his ability to make and use magic items.

When he got there Garen told him about the sword. "One day ten thousand years ago a retired warrior found a material, that if you dipped it in magma it would not melt, but would possess magic powers. He made many weapons, but above all he made the most powerful object that has ever come to existence."

"Really?" asked Derick.

"Really," said Garen. "But soon after its forging it was buried underground. And it remained ever since."

"So how do you use it?" said Derick.

"We'll see," said Garen.

  1. You picked an exciting story to write! I wonder how Garen learned about magic, and what kind of magic the sword holds.

  5. Josh says: "It sounds so cool!"

    Joe says: "It sounds great!"

Sam thinks someone is going to be eaten by a monster. Josh thinks that there is going to be a big battle and that the weapon shoots magma. Joe thinks "It sounds great!" :) Nice writing Wesley!
